The Shiner Gaslight Theatre Board of Directors congratulates the cast and crew of the 2024 Spring production, "Accommodations", for their entertaining performances in this hilarious comedy of miscommunication and confused identities. Jim Winkenwerder (lights and sound) and Elaine Berkovsky (backstage crew) shared the honor of winning the Lamplighter Backstage Award. Jodi Adamek received the Sister Michelle Excellence Award for her portrayal of an aspiring actress who was never out of character.
A special surprise appearance by Michelle Schraub, previously Sister Michelle Belto, was the highlight of the afternoon. She invited to present the award in her name to Jodi Adamek. In 1975, as a local nun and drama teacher, Michelle realized the beauty and potential of the old building and through her effort and citizenry of Shiner and surrounding towns, the Gaslight Theatre was born and the rest is history!
